Abstract

The paper considers the issues of determining the rates of stability against a wheel flange climb onto the railhead for various models of empty four-axle freight cars with bogie series 18-100. The influence of the car parameters on the period of probable wheel flange climb in running on straight track sections and in negotiating small and medium-radius curves has been investigated.
