Abstract

Railway transport on its nature is friendlier to the environment as compared to motor-car and air transport modes. However it is necessary to not forget that the development of railway transport should be realized with the observance of ecological requirements. This problem is also very urgent for Ukraine, because it exceeds a lot of other countries of Central Europe on the density of railway system and its freight traffic volumes. That is why the problem of ecologization of railway transport is very important.
